The Thought Occurred To Me
No, we don't need more sleep. It’s our souls that are tired, not our bodies. We need nature. We need magic. We need adventure. We need freedom. We need truth. We need stillness. We need to wake up and live. - Brooke Hampton
The thought occurred to me that as of now at the age 36, my life has a sudden change in perspective. Not bad but different, almost more freeing with intention an purpose have risen to a high calling. I had the thought to keep a memoir or journal of the next season of or journey. Because the days are growing older as I simply want to remember and cherish everything. By no means in a depressing or morbid way but to be life giving and joyful to all that is already around me and for those that read along the way and for those who come after me.
Levi is already 16 months old, how precious and wild is he? What a gift, a sweet unexpected blessing that I will never take for granted. He came to us naturally and surprisingly. Jeremiah is 4 years old and will be 5 in October, learning and soaking in all that is around him. He is naturally an observer and a commuter of his finings. I love hearing the things he is learning and how his mind processes. He is a little adventurer and outdoorsman as well as enjoying learning his letters and numbers. He also can remember Bible stories well. I love chatting with him about what he is learning at school. Which brings me to my next point. As I write this out it is currently down-pouring a summer storm, Jeremiah and Levi asleep by my side as we snuggled in for a Sunday early slumber.
