The Friday Post - a few of my favorite things
Tulips are my fav
Happy Friday! I hope your weekend is full of sunshine and joy and savory memories.
Even though this is the shortest month of the year, without fail it feels like the longest month because we find ourselves a little slower and tucked away. The rhythm of the year has not yet set it’s pace, for this I am not upset. But I just need to keep my spirit alive, to seek the light and spread some happiness. I have learned about myself, if I am not in forward motion or creating something at least for most of my day, my spirit slowly grows dim. I have learned to focus on simple joys, mini surprises, sweet moments that are worth remembering. and with that said I thought it would be fun to put together some of my simple joys lately.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. The Lord is may portion
I am loving this Granola by Dana Renee! It has a way of letting me enjoy the warm spice flavors all year, feel cozy and a good crunch all at the same time. I usually only add one extra that I have on hand, typically is raisins.
2. I just ordered this cute French Market Basket getting all the feels of farmer’s market days and maybe a beach somewhere??
3. This Book is how I get my day started. So rich of motherhood and Jesus, like pure butter to my soul in the morning. Sally Clarkson has a way to speak to the core of who I am.
4. If you are a local, check out this new Floral Shop! My new fave…on my way home I stopped to pick up some tulips. When the nice lady asked who they were for can she write a note, I simply said “just for me” and giggled.
5. Fun Fact - Did you know that tulips keep growing after they have been freshly cut!? Yes! So use a vase that has room to grow, literally.
a place I spend a lot of time
