Ready For This

Good Morning or afternoon, whenever you are reading…for me this moment it is morning and the sun peeking through the clouds and birds are singing after all the rain we have had. This topic of Ready has been one of importance on my mind lately. You probably have noticed things are changing…fast. The technology, politics, even our food but the focus today is how fast the Real Estate market is changing even in humble Pope County! For we have not seen such change in many decades and now it’s here, the moment for which we have all been dreaming of. So I ask, are you ready? Are you prepared for the fast paced change that’s happening all around us? It makes our job so exhilarating but in order to play the game it’s time to step in and step up! Are you thinking of looking for a new home or have you considered selling your home this year. If either or both of these are on the agenda I encourage you to BE PREPARED! How do I prepare you ask? I could elaborate on the details such as have a preappvoal letter ready or declutter declutter declutter if you are selling, but today, the kind of “preparedness” I speak of is simply a state of mind. It’s a mindset of readiness of which anything could happen. One thing for sure, the market is unpredictable more now than ever I have seen. On market times range from 20 days to 220 days…what??? How can this be? Because we have a low amount of properties for sale and home buyers are scrounging to find the right one, the common assumption one believes is that the market is so good that ALL home prices are inflated. Instead this is true for only specific types of properties. “Pricing to sell” is still the appropriate game plan for most sellers otherwise the home will stay on the market to long, as a result become “stale”. So prepare yourself mentally, emotionally and spiritually that when you launch into this real estate market, it may take longer than expected to find the perfect home, it will come I encourage you to stay patient and positive. Similarly it might take longer to sell than expected if you price it according to the national standards…too high. I challenge your mindset to be positive and READY for anything and be open to the new market…a fast or slow experience, both are equally possible. For all these moments, great or small, are silently and glowingly sculpting each one of us in unique ways toward our purpose, our passion and ultimately to benefit the eternal kingdom.
