2022 Word for the Year
Thrive //
Some days can be more challenging than others and require a special kind of energy, grit and grace. Last was good to us - our business + our brand grew and we were in the hustle of life, just meeting demand, basically running on a glorified survival mode. You may have experienced this, At some point in every business or venture there is a shift toward growth and along follows growing pains. We can either rise to the occasion and thrive or let it ride and loose momentum. My mantra for 2021 was “Focus” and that we did. For 2022, the phrase that keeps holding on to me is “THRIVE”. After a year of focus and growth, we now get to support what we have and make it thrive. Thriving can look different to everyone. For me, it’s becoming the best version of who God created me to be. Inspiring creativity and productivity throughout my life and others. In my home, in my work in my family and relationships. Thriving does not mean perfect or worldly success, but instead it’s how you leave your legacy. It’s creating a wholesome environment that allows you and others to thrive and be their best version. Making others feel valued by how we give of ourselves. It means showing up to offer the world what you have.
No doubt, the challenge for balance and thriving instead of surviving is before me with a new little baby on the way. But I am not alone. My help comes from the Lord and he gives me what I need including an amazing loving husband who comes along side me in every aspect of life. We basically do all life together and I love it.
On a daily level thriving means doing the basics well. It can be easy to assume that newer means better. But simply providing for your family, food + love + warmth + encouragement . Sleeping well, finishing a project, finding joy in the small things, asking for help when you need it, following through with what you said, write the hand written note.
